This Scheme provides rent subsidies on privately owned properties that are being used as ordinary houses of residences by the applicant and his/her family.
1.
Original marriage certificate of applicant.
2. Original birth certificate of each applicant and of
each child under 18 years of age living with applicant.
3. If the applicant is widowed: the original death
certificate of the spouse.
4. Photocopy of Identity Card of each applicant and of
each child under 18 years of age living with applicant.
5. If the applicant is separated: a copy of the
separation degree from the First Hall Civil Court.
5a.
If the applicant is bona fide de facto separated: the applicant must
present proof that s/he is bona fide de facto separated.
6. A copy of the Income Tax form of the preceding year
of application of each applicant.
7. P3/FS3 and a breakdown of the income of each
applicant of the preceding year of application showing the gross income,
allowances, bonuses, overtime, etc.
8. Documentation of the Profit and Loss accounts, Balance
Sheets, Stocks and Shares, Bank Books of the preceding year of application.
9. If during any part of the preceding year of application,
applicant was unemployed, documentation from the ETC.
10. If during any part of the preceding year of application the applicant
was in receipt of Unemployment Benefit: documentation from the Social Security
Department is required.
11. Rent book and/or contract of lease.
12. Passport of each applicant.
13. Transfer and Liabilities of each applicant (which can be carried out
by the Housing Authority).
14. If the parent of the applicant died before November 1992: an official
copy of the claim for accession is requested (which can be carried out by the
Housing Authority).
15. If one of the applicants or his/her child has a disability, a photocopy of the Special Identity Card issued by the National Commission for Persons with Disability is requested.
The subsidy is paid to applicants six months in arrears. The Rent subsidy is income related and depends on family members, according to the following table:

Members
of a family include the applicant and his/her spouse and his/her children living
with the applicant, including fostered children, nephews/nieces, and
stepchildren. Children must be under 18 years of age, dependent on the
applicant, unmarried, and unemployed. Age is not taken into account for persons
with disabilities.
