Subsidy on Adaptation Works in Private Dwellings and Government Property Held on Lease or Emphyteusis - Scheme I

Aim:

To provide a Grant on adaptation works in private dwellings or in government property held on lease or emphyteusis.

Criteria:

1. The maximum amount of grant under this scheme is €4,000

2. Applicants are the recognised tenants or emphyteuta of a temporary emphyteusis not exceeding 21 years.

3. The propertry has been built over 14 years ago.

4. Assets of applicants in the 3 years preceding the date of application should not exceed €30,000 and income for 2010 should be below €28,362.97.

5. The assistance is based on applicant’s income and family members according to the table below:

6. The Housing Authority issues payments upon presentation of fiscal receipts by applicants of the works carried out, and after the Authority ascertain that works have been carried out in full and as approved and all conditions have been observed.

7. Beneficiaries under this scheme may benefit again for other improvements after 5 years, provided that the total grant does not exceed €4,000.

8. Tenants are responsible to obtain the necessary permits from the owner to affect such works and changes together with all other permits required by law. Thus, the Housing Authority shall not be responsible for the works done, which responsibility shall fall solely on the applicant.
