The Housing Authority is an equal opportunities employer, only recruiting candidates through the Employment and Training Corporation (ETC). This means that when a vacancy arises, ETC will provide a list of qualified candidates from their database. The Housing Authority must also attain approval from its line ministry, the Ministry of Education, Employment and the Family.

Mobility Consultant

The Housing Authority is launching a Call for Expression of Interest (CEI), to identify candidates that are interested in providing the services of an Mechanical Engineer/Architect to assist the Housing Authoity to make all housing estates accessible for people with mobility problems and to draw up a feasibility study on the implementation of an Improvements Programme focused on mobility issues.

The Person

The successful candidate must be fully qualified as mechanical engineer/ architect and in possession of a warrant to practice as a mechanical engineer or an architect in Malta. The candidate is expected to have a minimum of 10 years working experience preferably in matters relating to the installation of lifts and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. In addition, candidates must have good communication and reporting skills both in Maltese and English. Applicants must have own transport and have knowledge of the ‘Access for All Guidelines’ published by KNPD.

Interested candidates are to submit a letter of application together with a detailed Curriculum Vitae and the charging fee per hour (net of VAT).
